Hi everyone! My name is Jacqueline but everyone calls me Jacque. I am currently working on my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. I am required to take some English classes for my degree, so that is why you find me here. This class appealed to me because it encompasses work from different cultures and I have alwasy been interested in learning about cultures that differ from my own. I hope to gain a better understanding of literature from around the world and how their cultures influence their writing.
While taking classes at UAF I also work full time and am a mom to three wonderful boys. I have turned into a soccor mom and spend a lot of time carting kids around to practices and games. To make my life work I have had to become super organized and learn to juggle three or four things at one time. Raising my boys is the most rewarding and exhausting experience I could ever have.
Wow, you seem to have a plate full. That’s really awesome that you are able to juggle so much stuff. I don’t know if I would be able to do that. I’m good with just juggling work and school haha. You seem like a great mom from your introduction. Good luck in class this semester!!
Being a Mom is the most rewarding job, I am happy to meet you. Since being a mom is my number one job I understand how often it is over looked. I have found it is the hardest, never ending, most time consuming, and most rewarding job I have ever had. As an artist, and never ending student, as my husband thinks I am =) I know how organization is key to a functioning life. Best of luck and be blessed in all you undertake!
I applaud your ability to manage three kids, full time work AND school! I’m a full time worker and part time student and even that is a lot to juggle at 23! You have a gorgeous family though, and I’m sure they’re a great reward for all the hard work!
You have a beautiful family! Working full time and juggling the kids, hubby, and household while staying organized is commendable – and your kids look so happy! Good to meet you, and good luck in the class and on your degree!
Agreed! You have some handsome little boys. Welcome to the class!
